Spituk to Stok

Its accessibility and beauty have made this the most pupular hiking route in recent years. The best period is from June to October. Go to Spituk by Taxi from Leh. Allow 4 days and it can be done from Stok to Spituk, Reverse Way.

Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

Day 2 : Delhi to Leh

Day 3 : Leh

Day 4 : Leh - Spituk to Zinchen
Leave the Leh by jeep/coach for Spituk village and then start trekking for Zinchen easy walk and river crossing 3 times camp at Zinchen village.

Day 5 : Zinchen to Yurutse
River crossing few times, the walk is little hard, lunch stop at Rumbak, camp at base.

Day 6: Yurutse to Foot of the Stok-la to Stok-la
From the sheepfold, long and sheep descend to the Stok-la 4900 metres. Steep ascend. Pass the village, cross the river bridge and cross an escarpment. Go up the Right Bank, then the left bank, easy going. Arrive to Foot of the Stok-la.

Day 7: Foot of the Stok-la to Stok - Leh
Crossing the village of Foot of the Stok-la, then follow on the left bank the river, which comes from the massif of Stok-Kangri. After 2 hours, the path leads away from the river. Ascend gently, then leave a small pass on the left and go up a small valley. Reach to Stok and en route to Leh by Taxi.

Day 8 : Leh - Delhi

Day 9 : Depart Home
